Co-created by composer Ron Ramin and librettist Portia Kamons, SEVENTEEN explores what it means to be on the cusp of adulthood in America today, and gives orchestras an opportunity to welcome this rising generation to their concert halls.

Narration requirements
Multiracial narrators cast from the local community (high schools, colleges, independent drama programs, etc.)
Libretto requires one female person of color
High school or college age in appearance
Musical theater experience helpful
A Director of Narration is suggested (local community theater, school drama departments).
If it is the preference of the organization, the creators of SEVENTEEN will work with orchestras to facilitate the casting, managing and rehearsal of the narrators, as was the case with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra premiere.
